Google is reporting they are experiencing service disruptions with their Google Apps service.

Currently there is a phishing scam email being sent to all Ramapo accounts orginating from address helpdesk1@ramapo.edu.
Please do not click on the link within the email. It is safe to delete this email immediately.

08/21/2012 7:50 AM - Scheduled Electrical Outage

On Sunday, August 26, the Office of Facilities Management will perform electrical maintenance requiring a power shutdown of the primary campus data center. As a result, most of our online services will be unavailable from 6 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. Moodle and our primary website, www.ramapo.edu, will still be available during the maintenance window. E-mail sent to Ramapo College addresses will be queued and delivered at the conclusion of the maintenance.

LinkedIn and eHarmony suffered data breaches that may have exposed millions of user's passwords. If you are a LinkedIn or eHarmony user and use the same password at different sites, you should change the password at these sites.

You should also be on the look out for phishing scams that will likely increase as a result of these data breaches. Remember that Ramapo College or any other reputable organization will never ask for your password. Please do not respond to any requests asking for your password or login credentials.
